This is, quite possibly, the strangest email I have ever received. What do you think the marketing slogan for this one could be?
..Because when youre facing homelessness, dehydration, death, despair, hunger, unemployment, alligators and typhus, you should look your very best!”
These people don’t have addresses. We can’t even seem to send them food or water. They do not need shimmery eye whip.

That is so funny. What are your going to do with pressed powder in flood waters it will get wet? Don’t these people know anything abou the cosmetics they are giving.

I agree with you–a little strange. I’ve wanted to send a box of things but it seems that everyone just wants money. Which is completely understandable. Do you know of an address that is actually taking things like pillows, comforters, toiletries (sp?), etc?
As for me, I’m just that vain where I wouldn’t mind the lip gloss, eye liner, and mascara.
I’m terrible, I know. Take care.

Oh–that’s not terrible. I need to feel pretty and clean when I’m feeling low. I think most women do. Isn’t it strange that after two weeks there doesn’t seen to be a clearing house address for donating goods? It bothers me. I have cleaned out my closets and I want to send things. I guess I could send cash, but I’m pretty cash poor…STUFF I have lots of!
I’m on the lookout, though, if I hear of anything in the NY area, I’ll post it.
Thanks for the visit,
Bekah

They will SPAM anyone, anytime, with anything, won’t they?

Sorry, I wanted to reword my previous comment. Anyway, yeah, that’s a weird post. It’s probably spam. I have never heard of Elf cosmetics before.
BTW, thanks for the music comment! TTYL!

elf is a budget cosmetics company that I have ordered from in the past (hence the email). What I find particularly strange about it (in addition to the offer of lip gloss to the homeless masses) is the fact that elf’s whole “gig” is that everything they sell is exatly $1. So if each piece in the relief kit is $1, and there are five pieces per kit and they are offering 10,000 kits it stands to reason that they are willing to donate $50,000.
So why not just donate the $50,000???!!!
Baffling.
