It’s hotter than Bangkok in April. I eat nothing but popsicles and I feel as if my brain has turned into cheese. Soft, melty cheese.

After you step out of the shower, you might want to step out of the bathroom! Miss B, I believe you are an RN? Do what I do, work overtime in the air conditioning.

    very funny :)

if you’re going to be wet all day, make the most of it! Mist yourself with water in front of a fan, or take some cool showers whenev’ and walk around in your bathrobe.

    Sleep in the river.

Take pictures for the “wet look” which is aparently popular in the netherlands, with this guy http://www.myspace.com/riverratt98052. Watch his video.

    Feel better.

HILARIOUS!!! And, yeah, I totally feel like there is a constant trickle of water flowing through each and every pore in my skin. It’s too much.

    I can’t stand the heat!!!

And what’s worse is, now that I’ve said something about “sweat” and “pores”, I have that stupid Marky Mark song stuck in my head … “Yo! It’s about that time, to bring forth the rhythm and the rhyme. Ima get mine, so get yours. I wanna see sweat comin’ out your pores …”

Is there no end to the torture that this heat brings? :(

Somehow, I acclimated to the heat this year. It was over 100 degrees every day for weeks.

Funny thing, a few days ago, it rained and the temperature dropped to 80 degrees. You should have heard me complain. I was “freezing!”

Well, I really would love to be sympathetic, but I’m not that far from our 2 weeks of 100+ temps, so I’m not quite there yet. We were very happy to share our good hot fortune with the rest of the company after all the hell we’ve been through.

My suggestion: Find a nice air-conditioned theatre that is showing “An Inconvenient Truth” and sit through the show. Twice. Or at least until it cools off outside.

Ha! That was funny. It was like that in Southern California too.

    Girlfriend,
I feel your pain. The only thing more insane than living in Kansas where it’s routinely 100 degrees+ is helping your kid move into her new apartment in the 104 degree heat. Don’t let that happen to you. Ever.

That’s what I love about living in the north. It’s hot enough to swim and enjoy the summer but it’s not so hot that you die upon leaving air conditioning.

    I hope it gets better,

What is your favorite flavor popsicle? I’ve been going through an orange phase. And red and grape too…I got sick of the tropical variety or the wacky weird ones…back to the classics!

Anyway, I feel your pain! Hope you’re staying cool! mmmm popsicles!!!

Karina, I totally agree. I don’t want Mango-Boysenberry popsicles! I want red, purple and orange ones! I don’t even think they qualify as flavors…they’re really just colors!

I feel the same way about Starburst candies. Whoever thought it was necessary to take Lime out of production and replace it with Strawberry when there was already a Cherry flavored one (they’re both red, so what’s the point?) and then followed up with those strange “Baja Blend” ones should have been relocated to cleaning the giant beeswax tanks at the Starburst factory.

That being said, I really like red and orange popsicles.

LMAO. Girl you crack me up. For some reason I can only see your videos with the flash version through blip.tv.

    oh well.
Try to stay dry. I’m in Florida, we don’t know what dry is. LOL

Lol, I’m glad we are in agreement!

And holy crap! I don’t remember there being LIME starbursts! That is infuriating that they switched in strawberry! Man, I may need to write an angry letter. These time, they are a changin’!

    You make me smile.

Thanks for sharing the moment and videoblogging even when it was to hot to do so.
